Thank You, Marching Cardinals!
CFMA would like to thank the directors, staff, volunteers, band and color guard members for another great marching band season. Everyone worked very hard to make “Carmen” a terrific field show. They logged 500 hours of practice time! The Marching Cardinals placed 2nd at both the D.C. Everest and Merrill competitions They also competed at Irondale High School in Minnesota and at Menomonie. They also performed for the band fans in exhibition at the Homeshow. Thanks to Chi Hi’s special guests, the UW Eau Claire Bluegolds Marching Band who also rocked the stands. At the state marching band competition in Whitewater, the competition was tough and they didn’t place as well as everyone hoped for. Despite getting hailed upon during practice, fighting through lots of wind and very cold temperatures, they did a great job! For more information about the state competition see WSMA’s website at: http://www.wsmamusic.org/programs/marching_band/index.html. Notice our very own Doug Greenhalgh (in the black jacket and blue jeans) co-directing seniors from around the state during a special performance of "America, the Beautiful".
Awesome Final Performance! The band performed for the final time this year during half time of the football game on October 21st. It was also the last time the seniors would play with the Marching Cardinals. You did a great job, and we’ll miss you!
CFMA also thanks the parent volunteers! Thanks to the Mayers’ for food planning, prepping and volunteer directing. Also, thanks to the chaperones for feeding everyone and all their hard work!
