CFMA would like to thank the directors, staff, volunteers, band, and color guard members for an awesome marching band season! Everyone Music Events did a fantastic job performing "Triumph of the Spirit" . . . all of us are Quick Guide very proud of you! The Marching Cardinals were hosts for Music along the Chippewa Home Show, and we would like to thank Chi-Hi's special guests December 4 Orchestra at the home show, the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Marching Band. Our Marching Winter Concert 7 pm Cardinal seniors were also recognized that evening. Thank you seniors, for at the High School your dedication and hard work ­ we wish you well in your future Auditorium endeavors. You will be missed! The Marching Cardinals ended the marching December 10 Torte season at the State Band Competition in Whitewater, where not even the pouring rain that evening could dampen the spirit. However, we are glad Theater, Heyde that our show could be marched inside a dry field house! Center 6:30 p.m. December 11 High Show your support! School Band Winter Be a CFMA Member: Remember to mark your calendars for Chippewa Falls Concert 7 pm Music Association meetings, which meet in the choir room on the second December 18 High Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Being involved with CFMA is a great School Choir Winter way to keep informed, meet great people, and show our music students Concert from choir, orchestra, and band our support. Remember to check your February 10 Big Band emails for information. If you are not getting emails you can sign up at www.cfma.info. Thank you February 18 Musical Tom for your great photography work! Thank you Jan Zutter: In support of the music department Jan handcrafted and quilted a beautiful queen size quilt for a very successful quilt raffle. All proceeds, about $2900.00 went to our music department. The winner of the quilt, Donna Shafer was announced at the Marching Band Home Show on October 14th. We would also like to thank the volunteers who spent many hours selling raffle tickets, which greatly helped in this success! 3 Trip Scholarships Available: Band Students may apply for a trip scholarship used for the trip to San Antonio, Texas in April 2007. Interested students should talk to Mr. Collicott for information. Torte Theater: Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 10. This event is one you will not want to miss! Tickets will be available for purchase from your favorite music student. The performance will be at the Heyde Center for the Performing Arts. Volunteers are needed to help work at the event and to also provide those yummy tortes! Please contact Audra Knowlton by email at aknowlton@co.chippewa.wi.us for information. Reminders: Milk caps are a way to earn free money. If you collect them, please be sure they are clean. The companies reject dirty caps (and they get very smelly).
