The excitement is building! On Thursday, March 31, 2005, all the music groups at Chi-Hi took part in an extravaganza send-off concert a few days before their trip to New York City. Performing for a jam-packed auditorium were all the choirs, the show choir, vocal jazz, jazz bands, orchestra, and both full bands. It was outstanding entertainment; hard to believe these are all high school students!

All kids, that is, except that the song that brought the house down was performed by four adults, when all the music teachers did "New York, New York": Nordin on keyboards, Greenhalgh on drums, Collicot on trumpet, with Ron "Frank" Buckles crooning the vocals:
